Results Round #1 SWVTA

First and foremost, I want to thank CTTA for helping out SWVTA put on their first “vintage” trial ever. I considered it a huge success. And special thanks to Mitch Ely for sticking around all afternoon to do sign up and scoring late in the day. Thanks to Toni, Tomas, and Nora for manning the the main gate. Much appreciated. And thanks to Jay and Michael Glasscock for letting us piggy back their event. And last, but not least, thanks to the riders that braved the heat and came out to support our endeavor. We had 27 total riders, 6 of those on modern bikes. We also had two more show up, but their bikes crapped out before the event. Welcome to the world of vintage.

It was hot, real hot. Not as hot as Green’s Bayou was last August, but pretty damn close.
We actually dodged a bullet, because Sunday was worse, very humid.

All the class winners were our normal vintage riders with Jay Huffman taking first place in the Novice class with 0 points dropped. Larry Doyle won the Intermediate class with 0 points dropped. And Don Scott tied for first in the Expert class with 0 points dropped with Adam Hall. They elected to settle it with a coin toss.

Here are the results from Round #1. Don’t let the 0’s fool you, I did get some points off the other riders. My intention was to keep it nice and simple because of the heat.

Larry Doyle and Steve Elms rode both the am event and the Vintage event.
