2017 CTTA Summer Series – Updated Schedule

After a very successful first event this year, the BLB Bash, riders felt the need to take a short break in the schedule for this year’s CTTA Summer Series.  Check out the confirmed schedule this summer and fall.  Our next series event will be Sunday August 13 (8 weeks from now) with Glen Roblin as trial master at the GSL Ranch in Kendalia.  We are going to have a GSL Ranch work day a few weeks before on Saturday July 22.  More info to come.  Make a note of the dates and get yourself prepared for another great series.

Results: Round 1 CTTA Summer Series @ the BLB Bash

Heavy morning showers delayed Round 1 of the BLB Bash until noon. Despite the storms, there was a great turnout for the inaugural BLB Bash at Luckenbach. There were great rides in every class. Emma Burwell took the Rookie Class with 6 only points. Carson Reece, riding with the PRO group, had an amazing 6 pt ride in Intermediate and Ray Peters led the Master class with a clean trial. For all of the section by section scores check out the results; results are courtesy of Mitch Ely.

I want to give a HuGE shout out of THANKS to Ron Sallman! Ron Sallman also organized a PRO event/exhibition and riding trials at Luckenbach has been changed. There are obstacles! Ron and his generous supporters brought in truckload after truckload of huge rocks for everyone’s riding enjoyment.  Hopefully, we’ll have more details on the PRO event in another post.

Results! Rounds 5 & 6 Texas State Trials Championship!

Another one in the books. Rounds 5 & 6 were a bit hampered by greasy conditions.  Those that braved the conditions were rewarded with some brand new AM and PM sections and a ranch decorated with bluebonnets, Indian paintbrush and all colors of flowers in between. With the help and knowledge of Tony Wedgeworth, the PM riders were tested early and often. Thanks to Tony for his undying help to this sport.

A big bike race leftover endurocross section started the day for the AMers. A matrix with logs and tires coated with dew was slick.

Mitch Ely proved again with impeccable scoring that he is very good at this, thank you.
Results: Round #5, Round #6

Thanks to the judges, and the ones that provided some great radio banter and assisting others. Radios will be a mainstay from now on at Smithville.

Lots of ideas for future events out here were presented, look for updates next month.

Thanks to all,  Wayne McMahan.
